Welcome to Summerfield Equestrian Center
We are a family owned/operated boarding and training facility located just 3 miles south of Hillsboro. We offer full care boarding-including quality hay and grain tailored to your horses dietary needs.We have a 70 X 204 indoor arena with a mix of hogfuel and sand footing,worked up daily, and an overhead watering system. Stalls are 12 X 12 with attached 50 X 60 paddocks for daily turnout- both stalls and paddocks cleaned 7 days a week.Our outdoor arena is 70 X 150(weather permitting)and we have 10 pastures available for 24/7 turnout in the summer months.The owner is one of the instructors, and her credentials include being a USDF bronze medalist, as well as guiding students successfully to fourth level and in addition brings 30 plus years of barn management and teaching experience.We teach basic horsemanship through 4rth level Dressage in lessons,and we have a progressive goal oriented individualized lesson program where our approach is to always stress the positive.Our training program is based on using the Dressage training scale as a basis for all disciplines, and many different disciplines are ridden here.Our goal is to provide a positive, safe, supportive and fun experience to all our riders. We have a very strong youth program, as well as adult amatuer riders, and our lesson horses are safe and sound!
