Meet our Instructors
Hi! I'm Anne Stevens-my husband Randy and I own this facility and we want to thank you for visiting us!
I am one of the instructors here and I feel very fortunate and blessed to have the opportunity to share my knowledge of horses with you. My background consists of starting out with my first horse in the 4-H program many years ago and gradually progressing through years and years of instruction and training and riding different breeds of horses and different disciplines.I believe Dressage is the correct basis of all riding styles, and I made the choice to use Dressage foundation for my instruction.I ride regularly with many different Dressage instructors, have ridden with numerous clinicians through the years and have participated in the USDF Instructor pre- certification programs . I earned my Bronze medal through USDF in 2008, and my basic philosophy for teaching is safety, correct principles, kindness and respect for our equine partners, and fun.Whether or not you want to take riding to the level of competition, or just want to learn the basics and have fun- I can offer you safe and sound lesson horses or lessons on your own horse. I teach with a goal oriented and systematic approach, always putting the safety and well being of horse and rider first.Thank you and I would love to meet you!

Hi! I'm Kelsi Burkhardt.Teaching and horses are my 2 passions, therefore I have dedicated my life to both.I bring 15 plus years of equine instructor experience and a masters degree in teaching to the program here, and through the years I have trained and ridden with a multitude of different instructors and clinicians. I believe in the program at Summerfield because it is a family friendly team approach to riding with the well -being of the horses and riders at the forefront of the practice.I have experience training all breeds with a foundational dressage background in numerous different disciplines. The horses and riders I train gain an understanding of basic Dressage principles while learning how to work hard and gain respect for their jobs and each other. I have a thoughtful approach to both horse and rider, and students I teach gain an understanding of how to get the best work from their horse through a systematic and thoughtful approach. I truly enjoy the art of horsemanship and look forward to being a part of your equine journey!Thank you for visiting!
